Today's sake and sakana(snack)

Hiokizakura Kimoto junmai Tamasakae 20BY

Pale straw colour.
At room temperature there is a very faint aroma of warm rice with a hint of toffee.
The flavour is even and smooth with slightly astringent aftertaste.
At 50C the astringency is more marked and the flavour is more uniform but it is quite sharp.
At 40C this sake is more mellow, the flavour is even and not sharp.

Ke-no-sakana "Omelette"

Slice a mixture of your favorite vegetables and sausage or bacon or ham into match stick sized pieces. Briefly stir fry with salt and pepper (the vegetables should still be slightly crisp) and set aside.
Lightly beat the eggs and heat in a frypan and add the vegetable mixture before the eggs start to set.
Cover with lid or foil until the eggs set.
